TELEVISION

From 2016 to 2019 I worked at ABC affiliate WHAS11 News in Louisville, Kentucky. I had no previous on-camera experience, but while working as a digital content producer my News Director asked me to give it a shot. With no training other than help from generous colleagues, I learned how to work a camera, edit video, lay down voiceovers, and present on live TV. It was a steep learning curve, but I was able to put together some stories I enjoyed.

My work on television was always a work in progress, but it taught me how to recognize opportunities for growth and jump in.
